Tuesday Group Hug

This video is one of the most amazing renditions of “God Bless America” I’ve seen (and heard), ever.
I’m not posting this to say, “Hey, look how cool the US is,” I just really love the heart of soul of the vocalist, Grandpa Elliott.

If you haven’t checked out the Playing for Change (PFC) website, it is worth a look. The PFC organization is creating change by connecting the world via music, quite literally.

At their the web site, you’ll see PFC has spanned the globe featuring artists from all walks of life. You’ll also find that Grandpa Elliott was discovered singing on the streets of Louisiana, an amazing story.

Please stop by and see what these amazing folks are doing—for change.

Create a great Tuesday!

    Hi Jay,
I know you love music as much as I do, and this really got to me. You can just hear in his voice how grateful he is for his life.

Do check out the site. They’ve enabled musicians from all over the world to play ‘together’ live, and have recorded the performance for us. Listen to “Stand By Me” at their site. I was blown away.

    Thanks for stopping by! ;)

    Hi Lori,
Oh, wow…what a touching rendition of “God Bless America”. I just feel such passion and love in his voice, for this place he calls home. This is so wonderful to listen to! And I’ve loved a couple of the group songs this organization has put together, although I’ve never checked out their website. I’m off to see it! Lori, thanks so much for sharing this – I feel a real compassion for our world after listening to this, and really listening right into my own heart…

    Hi Lance,
Yes, that’s it! You really got to the essence of what I had a hard time distilling – his passion for the place he calls home.

Thanks for taking the time to listen and share moments with this amazing man (and me, too!). Enjoy your day, Lance!
