Nature is just enough; but men and women must comprehend and accept her suggestions.
~Antoinette Brown Blackwell (1825 – 1921)
I happened across this video a few days ago and I couldn’t help but to post it.
Nature and music, combined, embodies nirvana. I hope you enjoy this video as much as I do.
The author, Jarbas Agnelli, appended this description to his video:
“Reading a newspaper, I saw a picture of birds on the electric wires. I cut out the photo and decided to make a song, using the exact location of the birds as notes (no Photoshop edit). I knew it wasn’t the most original idea in the universe. I was just curious to hear what melody the birds were creating.
I sent the music to the photographer, Paulo Pinto, who I Googled on the internet. He told his editor, who told a reporter and the story ended up as an interview in the very same newspaper.
Here I’ve posted a short video made with the photo, the music and the score (composed by the birds).
Music made with Logic.
Video made with After Effects.

That, my friend, is really, really, REALLY cool! Wow. There’s so much to read into this, I can’t even fully wrap my head around it. It’s just awesome that no rearrangement was done; it was all natural.
I suppose I could quote chaos theory and pattern recognition physics, but really, to me, it’s just a sign of the divine at work in mysterious ways.
I love this!!!!!

Lori,
Wow! That is really incredible to have the creative genius to take some birds on a wire, and turn that into music! Beautifully done!
Nature and music together….so cool!

Beautiful… absolutely beautiful. I’m with Jay on this. I can’t even wrap my head around the many levels on which this moves me. So I’ll just thank you for sharing it with me, and be alone with my thoughts for a while. Who knows? Maybe a post will be born out of this moment.

Jay,
I’m glad you liked the video, Jay! I thought you might…I could see you doing something like this, but with your guitar.
Good point re: chaos theory/PRP – I find divinity in nature, and this, my brother, is a perfect example.
Enjoy your Sunday, superstar.
Lance,
Thanks for commenting here today; I’m happy you liked the video. Putting nature and music together, like I said, is the pinnacle of beauty, to my ears and eyes.
And, I just loved the actual melody – gave me the shivers.
Have a great day, Lance! Enjoy a lovely ride out there.
Lisis,
Yay, I loved the credit, too (Music by Birds); now that’s really giving credit where credit is due!
Oh goodie, I get to be your muse for once! ha
I’m glad I could help to inspire you today.
Happy Sunday – lovely Li!
Wow, that was a beautiful video and song! It’s a great way to start the day and a reminder for me to enjoy the sounds in nature. I know every so often I wake up to the sound of an owl hooting nearby and it always puts a smile on my face.
Tim,
That’s awesome – you have a neighborhood owl! I’m jealous, Tim.
I’m glad I posted this video today; it really affected me. And you make a great point, to listen to the sounds of nature. It’s cool you mentioned the sound of the owl; their hoots are one of my favorite sounds in nature.
Happy Sunday! Enjoy.
That is SO cool! What a great idea and the result is amazing. Who would have thought that a few birds on a wire could result in a piece of music like that! It’s another example of the power of nature…if only we all stopped to take notice.

Sami,
I thought you might like this one!
I was amazed by this brilliant idea, too, and when the music was matched to the “bird notes” I was utterly surprised!
Seeing this video reminded me of the beauty of nature, and how the music needs no interpretation by us humans. (ha)
Nature is lyrical all on its own.
Cheers to a wonderful Sunday, Sami!
Hi Lori,
I absolutely love this video. It was so cool how the placement of the birds matched musical notes.
The line that you said about how when “nature and music are combined it embodies nirvana” is so beautiful. Very profound thought, my dear friend. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and the video with us.
Hope all is awesome!

Isn’t this cool? I love it, luh, luh, love it!
I actually thought about you after I typed that phrase you mention, isn’t that cool, too? You are an amazing woman. I love it when you stop by and say hello.
Thanks for taking the time to stop by today! Happy Sunday and enjoy your week. Keep your ears open for the music of nature.
Awesome. Stunning. Made me weepy.
My starlings said, “Who’s a pretty birrrd? Who’s a pretty birrrrdee?”, too.
