No Tom Toms in Trottersville

Hey lovlies! I hope your weekend was mah’velous!

I wished I would’ve had my camera with me this weekend, I live in a beautiful area by the coast and there were weddings galore! I must have seen ten blushing brides being photographed in one afternoon.

Something about seeing Frisbees tossed between youngsters, families picnicking, and weddings occurring reminds me that life is a powerful force. It reminds me that even though bad things happen (oil spills, economic troubles, employment challenges, illness, etc.) this grande life will cut through the chaos and persevere.

Hope wins again.

And, hey, I’m chillaxing with Tony and Cassy over at their pad today.

I’ve had the pleasure to get to know the fab duo better recently and I must say, they’re yet another example of the goodness and life force in this world!

Stop by and say hello to Tony and me, and find out what I’m talking about when I say that Ms. MS is beating on her tom toms again. ;)

Love ya’ll!

Yup, we had a good time, didn’t we? Lori, you made interviewing you a breeze, so thanks for that! :D

We don’t live near the beach, but I wish we did. I have one indelible childhood memory of standing on early morning sand as thousands of tiny crabs swarmed around me to get past to wherever it was they were going. Magical place that.

      TONY!!
I had so much fun hanging out with you and Cassy and letting you pepper me with questions. It felt like a real camp out! Breezes and all! ;)

Wow, that is a magical moment, indeed, Tony. Amazing! We don’t have many crabs here, but when I see them they really strike me as a cool little creature. I can’t imagine thousands of them clattering about — that’s cool!

Thanks for all the fun, Tony. You’re a real rock star, me thinks.

      Hi Amanda,
I’m touched you followed Terrible T’s advice and popped on over to JBN. Thanks and welcome! I appreciate your kind words, they really mean a lot to me.

You live on the water, too? Excellent — you’re speaking my language. There is so much joy to be had in nature and I’ll never take it for granted.

Enjoy your day and thanks again for your kindness.
      ~xo to you!

    Hi Lori,

That interview with Tony is amazing and I’m glad to have the chance to get to know more about you.

That Ms. MS is such a terrible thing but you are amazingly strong and an inspiration for all of us. I truly admire the way you can keep laughing, smiling and viewing life with such outstanding attitude.

All my good thoughts, energies and vibration for you :)

      Hi Raul,
You are so kind. What, me amazing? I think I’m going to print this out and put it in my pocket for the times I need a lift. :)

Yes, I don’t like Ms. MS very much. I try to be nice to her, but sometimes I think all that sucking up just makes her mad at me. (he he). Nah, really, I count myself lucky. There are a lot of people in much more pain than me in this world. I have a roof over my head, am well fed, and surrounded by love. I think I am very fortunate and these physical things are only one aspect of my life. All the rest are so beautiful it helps make up for the things that I wish could be different.

Your good thoughts, energies, and vibrations are helping! Absolutely, Raul. Thank you so much and much love to you.

Hi Lori … loved the interview with Tony (& Cassy) but forgot to mention your lovely drawing .. talented in that direction too!

It’s interesting .. I’d love to know more about your science learning .. but it was great getting the overview and who knows what you tell us about in part 2 on thursday ..

The Ocean looks fun .. and the family filled day with frisbees when all the family play is just great .. we used to do that with French cricket .. one cricket bat – a ball of sorts, one stump and everyone fielding trying to get the batsman out .. fun in the sand ..

    Enjoy the day .. Hilary

      Hi Beautiful,
Thank you for your kindness regarding my interview with Tony and for your comment about my drawing. Like I said, I drew that palm for a friend I love very much so I think the expression of the person came out in the art. :)

I love talking about science, Hilary, so thanks for the comment. I think one of my deepest passions is connecting the science world to the ethereal or spiritual world. They are really both part of the same universe — just expressed differently. I think it’s amazing. I’ll write more posts about it in the future, but Tony and I didn’t really touch on science very much. And that was OK with me. I was laughing too much! LOL

Thanks for sharing about French cricket! That’s one sport I don’t know a lot about. Playing in the sand is one of my favorite things in life.

I will enjoy, Hilary, hope you do, too.
      Love,
      ~Lori

Hilary, you bring up a good point there. I really ought to have asked more about Lori’s love of science, but the honest truth is that it just never occurred to me. D’oh! :P

However, this is good feedback. Hopefully, Lori will rectify my oversight with some more insight on her scientific musings. Actually, if you check out her Your Fortress link in the menu at the top of the page, you’ll get some excellent articles that cover the kinds of topics you may be looking for. They really are quite good. :)

No way, Tone Loc — no worries. I get to talk about science a lot when I’m with hubs (I think I mentioned he’s a scientist, too), so no worries. I hardly ever talk about creativity and what makes me laugh, so I was all over it!
Hope all is well your way!

Lori, what an amazing interview that is shaping up to be over there at Tony’s. I’m learning so much about you that I did not yet know (hey, we’re still *new* Soul Sisters, right?), and with every sentence my respect and admiration for you grow. Your attitude is empowering and inspiring, and I’m just wowed by what you have been through and the person you have become as a result.

    I see you shining. :)

      Hi Meredith,
Oh goodie! I get to see you twice in the same day. (I lucked out!)

Yes indeedie, I think I’ll start calling you S Squared (S2) –> Soul Sister. I can’t get enough of those!

Thanks so much for your comment. I don’t know how to put in words the feeling I get when I read them. You’re so sincere and wonderful. Like I said before, where have you been all my life? ;)

I see the same in you, Meredith. In the end, were all simply mirrors, yes? Everyone’s light is bouncing off everyone else and someday this world will be nothing but sunshine and peace. That’s my goal, anyhoo.

Enjoy your day and I’m sending lots of love that all of your projects feed your soul every minute you’re working on them.

    Hi Lori,

I love the interview over at Tony’s. He knows how to ask those tough questions, doesn’t he?

I love the ocean. There’s something magical about it. You’re lucky you live so close. Unfortunately it’s a 3 hour drive for me, so I don’t get there as often as I’d like. *sigh*

      Hi Barbara,
Thanks so much for stopping by from Tony’s site. I had thought of closing the comments here, but I like chatting too much. ;) Thank you for saying hello.

I never take for granted living near the ocean and never tire of spending time near the water. I wish you lived closer, too. I’ll keep sending warmth and ocean vibes your way. Keep up the great work over at BWOAB. I love visiting to read what interesting discussion you’ve brought to our attention. You’re awesome.

    Hi Lori.
I finally made it over here — phew! :-) I’m fascinated by this photograph! They’re actually standing IN the water; the bride, wearing her beautiful gown… IN the water! OMG.

Congrats on a super interview with Tony. I enjoyed reading and learning more about you. You guys did an awesome job.

      Davina!
Hello, my long lost friend. :)
No worries, really, about being here. I know how hard it is and that there’s only so much time in a day. I’m chillax about blogging, so I hope you see JBN as just that, if you have time to chillax with me, awesome, if not, no worries. Life is good.

And, yeah, I know! The bride is completely in the water, I’m wondering if this was before or AFTER the vows. I love this photo, isn’t it cool?

Thanks, too, for your kind comment about the interview. I was blown away by Tony’s questions! He’s really good at interviewing! I learned a lot from him just by being his subject.

Have a great day, Davina, and I won’t be such a stranger now over at Shades of Crimson. See you soon and keep up the great work. I love what you’re doing over there.
